Why Choose the PADI Sidemount Diving Course?
Sidemount diving is rapidly gaining popularity for good reason. The PADI Sidemount diving course offers a combination of benefits, including streamlining, flexibility, freedom, and enhanced safety. Particularly beneficial for divers exploring overhead environments, it provides a low-profile streamline that is truly remarkable.
Flexibility: Underwater, cylinders are more accessible and convenient compared to back-mounted diving tanks. Sidemount diving equipment is lighter and less bulky, making travel easier and more affordable. It allows you to navigate overhead environments with ease, providing the freedom to swiftly resolve technical issues.
Streamlining: The sidemount diving configuration positions the cylinders under your body, improving air consumption and enabling you to navigate through narrow passages and holes during penetration diving.
Comfort: After completing the course, you’ll experience greater stability and easier control in the water. Sidemount diving is also less physically tiring to carry and get into the water.
What Will You Learn in the PADI Sidemount Diving Course?
Throughout six dives, including five for the course and an additional fun dive, you will focus on theory and practical training. Before starting the practical part, you’ll prepare for the course by studying theory about equipment setup, weighting and trim, dive environment, and techniques.
The diving part of the course is divided into two sections. On the first day, you’ll practice with a single tank to become accustomed to the new diving setup. On the second day, you’ll add an additional tank. A free fun dive is included in the course.
