Sidemount diving is rapidly gaining popularity for good reason. The PADI Sidemount diving course offers a combination of benefits, including streamlining, flexibility, freedom, and enhanced safety. Particularly beneficial for divers exploring overhead environments, it provides a low-profile streamline that is truly remarkable.
Flexibility: Underwater, cylinders are more accessible and convenient compared to back-mounted diving tanks. Sidemount diving equipment is lighter and less bulky, making travel easier and more affordable. It allows you to navigate overhead environments with ease, providing the freedom to swiftly resolve technical issues.
Streamlining: The sidemount diving configuration positions the cylinders under your body, improving air consumption and enabling you to navigate through narrow passages and holes during penetration diving.
Comfort: After completing the course, you’ll experience greater stability and easier control in the water. Sidemount diving is also less physically tiring to carry and get into the water.
A typical schedule is:
Palawan Divers typically plans three dives per day, meeting at 8:00 am and returning around 3:30 pm. Your safety, comfort, and learning are our top priorities, and we limit the number of divers on our boat to ensure focused attention, with a maximum of two students per instructor.
